Karmic Cord Cutting and Its Power

Cord cuttings can be performed for many purposes. For example, the spell shown in the photo with a black candle and two white candles is one I frequently perform for clients I coach—it’s designed to release parental trauma and deeply ingrained karmic patterns. While many people see cord-cutting online primarily for ex-relationships, cord cutting is a far more powerful and versatile tool, especially when it comes to cutting karmic ties, karmic contracts, karmic cycles, or intense karmic relationships. It’s crucial to approach this with focus, intent, and willpower to achieve the desired results.

You can perform a cord cutting to completely sever all ties to a person, situation, or energy, or you can choose to only release negative attachments. Cutting just the negative attachment is particularly helpful for people with anxiety or insecure attachment styles. By releasing obsession, fear, or emotional dependency, love spells and other energetic workings can take effect more fully, without interference from lingering attachments.

This approach is also useful if you wish to maintain a relationship—perhaps with a current partner you love—but want to release negative emotions or karmic ties that are causing tension, conflict, or emotional heaviness. Cord cutting doesn’t have to mean ending a relationship; it can simply remove the emotional cords that no longer serve you.

Cord cutting can also target limiting beliefs or negative energetic patterns. For example, I often perform cord cuttings to help clients release poverty mindsets or scarcity beliefs around money. Without this energetic release, performing a general spell—like a money spell—may be ineffective because the subconscious blocks and negative patterns remain active.
